Maria Holubeck is an illustrator and painter working in traditional and digital media. She completed her BFA in Studio Arts at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2021, studying illustration, painting, and art history. With a passion for sequential art and concept art, she frequently explores themes of spirituality, youth, and introspection in her work. She uses compositing techniques to combine naturalistic lighting, color, and form with symbolism and fantasy. She has exhibited in both the Bates Gallery and Bruce Gallery at Edinboro University multiple times and received the Thomas J. Ruddy Award from the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators in 2019 and 2020. Most recently, she has self-published her visual novel, The Moth, a 43-page collection of digital illustrations.
